Cat1, good point! I'd rather make something OUT THERE than spend my time sewing Yet Another Boring Outfit, to be honest. And it's certainly the only way I'll ever be able to afford something like a Miyake.

Now I'm just waiting for the next ClubBMV sale...

I like the new Vogue designs. In the economic climate present here and esp. in the USA, I think it shows a fair bit of bravery by Vogue to present designs that are forward thinking and in some cases teetering on the abyss, rather than presenting a collection that may be regarded as "safe". Remember also that the early Issey Miyake desgns were probably met in some quarters with raised eyebrows, now they are collector patterns and have used as inspiration by other designers. Wasn't it IM who brought us one of the first twisted tee shirts?

On the other hand, perhaps they work so far in the future, that this collection was "set" before the collapse of the US economy? It will be interesting to see the next couple of collections.

Egads! and - GADZOOKS! Yep, both good words!

I dunno - I reckon it's all about the 'TOOD, y'know? I am a firm believer that if you act like it's everyone ELSE that's crazy for not wearing something so FABULOUS, then everything's fine!

Egad! Don't cha love that word? But seriously your queenships, while these are definately unique designs I just cannot imagine someone actually wearing them down the main drag of sunny toowoomba. Actually, the red jacket might be quite interesting as a base for an art to wear item, but i'm not too certain about the other choices, but then again you are pretty good a visualising the end products. Those pants on the first pattern are nuts especially with the Jacket!
